Lovely cottage, great location for hiking and cycling in the area. Very comfy big beds. lovely little courtyard garden to relax in after a walk. Georgie was also very quick to respond in the app and was around in a couple minutes to fix a very minor issue.

The neighbours are friendly and the host is exceptional – both in terms of the welcome package but also in personally checking that we had settled in and all was ok. The cottage is wonderfully located and any attraction in the area is a short walk or car journey away.

The cottage itself is very well presented and it was a perfect base for us to explore the area. We would 100% like to return.

The cottage has been done and finished in such a beautiful way, it’s perfectly clean throughout and the little touches (including a delicious cake on arrival!) made for a perfect stay. The location of the cottage is so close to lots of incredible hikes/walks/activities. Absolutely recommend for the perfect amount of relaxation and exploring!

Good location, really nice and comfortable house. Georgie baked for us and left some welcome cake, a bottle of wine and few other welcome necessities which really nice. On a main road which made it slightly noisy at night so it took some getting used to it.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage – location is absolutely brilliant, just a short walk from good pubs and the Ladybower Reservoir where many a walk commences! The cottage was spotless, warm, comfortable and well stocked out! Thanks for a brilliant time surrounded by beautiful scenery.

WOW – where do I start? George’s Cottage is perfection. It’s a beautiful cottage, nestled amongst the most scenic setting. The location is peaceful and perfect for a break away the hustle and bustle. The cottage interior was cosy, clean and homely – we didn’t want to leave! The welcome cake and wine was a lovely touch and Barney the Cockapoochon LOVED his little doggy hamper full of treats and and cosy blankets. We can’t wait to return! Thank you Georgie!

What an exceptional cottage with an equally great host! Very clean, comfortable and equipped with everything you could possibly need and more! In a great location, has easy parking and a much appreciated welcoming gift set on arrival! Surrounded by beautiful views and walks with a country pub serving good food around 5 minutes walk away. Really enjoyed having the cosy log fire in the cottage.The attention to detail from this host is above and beyond! Cannot praise this experience enough! Hope to return soon!

The cottage was very comfortable, cosy and clean. There was everything we needed during our stay. The welcome gifts were just lovely, and so were the Christmas decorations. All the details such as bathrobes, slippers, blankets and toiletries supplied were charming. The aga range cooker blew my mind. As soon as we walked in, we felt a homely atmosphere espectaly when we lit the fireplace. Even though the weather wasn’t good, we had a fantastic time.

The cottage was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The cottage had everything we needed and the toiletries supplied were absolutely lovely. There was a homemade cake and marmalade in our welcome pack, alongside bread, milk and wine. The location was great for local walks, including Bamford Edge and Lady Bower Reservoir. A really lovely cottage in a lovely area!

This property was perfect for us. Everything you could need had been thought of here, even cosy blankets and a bed for the dog! Arriving to home made cake was something else..

The property has beautiful views to the front and you can see bamford edge (on a clear day) from the kitchen. For walking the location was fabulous and with a bus stop outside you could get further afield on public transport if you needed.

There is a washing machine in the property which was a real bonus for us after some muddy walks, and the pub is also just a short walk away.

Very high standard of accommodation. Everything that you needed was in the cottage, really comfortable beds and high standard linen. All the equipment was very good and the aga was an added bonus. We really liked the bathrobes and slippers in the rooms and the welcome pack, which consisted of a homemade cake, bottle of wine, and treats for our dog. It really was a lovely stay and although the cottage was a little way out of the village it was close to a very good pub and all the walks were from the house so no car was needed.

Compared to other cottages, the photos were extremely representative of the accommodation. Felt like a home from home with lovely touches – welcome, cake, wine, food items; dog bowls, blankets and treats. And for the evening – decent sized quality TV! It’s rare we would consider returning to a property but this has changed our thinking. Thank you!

We had an amazing time. As soon as you walked in you knew it was going to be a great stay – I was not expecting the welcome card, cake and wine. Georgie even made a visit to check all was ok.

The pictures didn’t do it justice, the cottage had everything you needed for any length of stay. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was fantastic and the lounge made you feel at home. There is a small garden and decked area, perfect for the odd glass of wine.

There were plenty of nice touches throughout the cottage which make your stay feel warm and welcoming. The dog bed, bowls, treats and blankets meant I could leave mine in the car – there was even a dog tag with Georgie’s details on.

I would recommend this cottage to all and will definitely be staying again. Thank you Georgie for being a great host.

As the previous reviewer said, the pictures don’t do the cottage justice. Every single detail has been carefully considered, and there really is very little more that could be done to make it feel more like a home from home, down to the blankets for both humans and dogs, places to put muddy shoes, somewhere to dry wet clothes and lights to guide your path after dark, and tiny torches next to all the beds. Milk, butter, bread, fabulous homemade sponge cake and wine were most welcome. Cottage is well placed for all the main sights and walks and even a decent pub with food within walking distance.
